Battalion Chief Scott Hitchman Completes Prestigious TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program

District 7 Fire Rescue is proud to recognize Battalion Chief Scott Hitchman for his successful completion of the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (FSCEO) program.


The FSCEO program is an intensive executive-level leadership course designed for senior fire officers preparing to take on the highest responsibilities in the fire service. Over the course of the program, participants engage in advanced study of strategic planning, leadership, organizational management, finance, emergency service delivery, and community relations. The curriculum emphasizes developing the skills necessary to lead modern fire departments with professionalism, innovation, and accountability.


For Battalion Chief Hitchman, completing this program represents not only a personal achievement, but also a commitment to the continued growth and success of District 7 Fire Rescue. Since joining the department, Chief Hitchman has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to professional development and has consistently sought opportunities to bring new knowledge and leadership practices back to his crews and the organization.


Chief Hitchman’s completion of the FSCEO program places him among an elite group of fire service leaders across the state and nation who have undertaken this advanced training. His achievement strengthens not only his leadership abilities, but also enhances the department’s ability to deliver exceptional service to the citizens of Bexar County.
